Abstract

Simultaneous Bilateral spontaneous Pneumothorax (SBSP) is very rare condition that often presents with significant respiratory distress. Little information is available on Simultaneous Bilateral Spontaneous Pneumothorax (SBSP) especially in paediatric age group. We report a case of 12 year old boy who presented with chest pain and sudden onset of dyspnoea and diagnosed to have SBSP. He received treatment in the form of simultaneous bilateral thoracostomies and was discharged in good condition. This may be the first paediatric case report from India.
